Dear Staff, I am a full time Federal Technician Title 32, and I have been MED boarded and qualify for FERS Med. Disability. I have been a federal employee since Dec 10, 2004 as the Command Historian of the PA National Guard. My last day in uniform is tomorrow the 18 Feb 2022 and they are giving me 30 more days as a federal employee which will take me to 20 March 2022. I currently have 17 years and 2 months in the system. I work out of Fort Indiantown Gap (Annville, PA 17003) I am a GS 09, Step 9. Can you tell me what I will make if I take FERS disability vs trying to find another job for three more years to get 20 years in the federal system. I have a wife and a 2 1/2 year old daughter. As of 1 Feb 2022, I have $134,577.34 dollars in my TSP. I am 46 years old, and my birth date is 31 July 1975. I spend 24 1/2 years in the PA National Guard and my retirement will give me $1,124 dollars a month as of now when I turn 60 in 14 years. I have all 40 points in the Social Security System. I am really interested in continuing to work for the next 14 years since the disability that the military kicked me out for was only Type II diabetes and I'm only on pills such as Metformin and not on insulin.
